Dutch as a second language for Teens (Ages +/-11 to 17)

Per school year, we offer 36 weekly online lessons supplemented with 6 cultural events. The weekly two-hour lessons guided by an experienced teacher, provide ample time to immerse in the language and practice Dutch language skills with peers.  

 

Teen-focused Curriculum

The NT2 (Dutch as a second language) curriculum is specially designed for young students ensuring that the topics are relevant and engaging for the students. We incorporate these NT2 teaching methods with methods used in schools in the Netherlands ensuring an effective learning experience.

Online Interactive Practice Program

In addition to the online classes, the students will have access to an online interactive practice/homework program. This provides the opportunity to further strengthen and practice the skills learned in class at a time that suits them best, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

CNaVT Examination 

The advantages of obtaining a CNaVT certificate is, for example, acceptance at Dutch and Belgian universities, High School credits for foreign languages or for a Seal of Biliteracy.

The Dutch School Silicon Valley is an official CNaVT examination location. The CNaVT or Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal, certifies language proficiency of Dutch as a foreign language worldwide (various levels). If desired, you can prepare for the exams in May during the lessons and obtain the certificate. For more information about the CNaVT click here.  
 

Tuition Fees

Our tuition per student is USD 175 per month for 9 months. In addition, we charge an annual contribution of USD 75 per student for ebooks and the online practice/homework program.
